House of Cards binge follow up

When Netflix decided to do HoC, they signed for the first 2 seasons. Season 1 and 2 were written at the same time. That being said, I do think that season 3 was a bit rushed. Too much happening and not enough story and details to intrigue the audience. In reality, I feel that they had sufficient material in the first ten episodes to complete the season, the next 3 episodes should have been a part of season 4. 

House of Cards isn't about politics nor relationships. It's about power and that dynamic changed at the end of season 2 when Frank achieved what he ultimately wanted. Season 3 is about the struggle to keep the power. More than that, it was about the people surrounding Frank wanting a piece of that power as well. Netflix wanted season 3 to hit as hard as season one and two but in the end they tried too hard. I dare to say they might have jumped the shark but only the future will tell.
